Why is the Tree of Wisdom so wise?

A long, long time ago, the sea goddess Oktada cast a spell over Oloko that turned her shell into fertile land. She gave the Tree of Wisdom, the first plant on Oloko, a special role: He should serve as Oloko’s memory and mouthpiece. The roots of the Tree of Wisdom (who, in the beginning, was not as wise as one would think) hold together the entire surface of Oloko and function as antannae. They reach down to Oloko herself and therefore serve as a direct connection to Oloko’s emotions and thoughts. The Tree of Wisdom knows everything about Oloko and he likes to share his knowledge with the Olokians.
